Fitness-For-Duty (FFD) Examinations

Fitness-for-Duty (FFD)

Psychological Examinations

Sometimes employers develop a reasonable belief, based upon objective evidence, that an employee’s ability to perform essential job functions may be impaired by a mental condition, or that an employee will pose a direct threat due to a mental condition.

When Fitness-For-Duty (FFD) examinations are requested, we ask that  employers provide full and complete historical records including the documented objective basis for referrals. Our FFD examinations are detailed, thorough, and focused upon addressing referral issues. Legal limitations, ethical standards, and privacy concerns may restrict the amount of information contained in FFD reports provided to employers.
