Tracy Police Department Chief Introduces their CordicoShield Wellness App

In rolling out the CordicoShield app, Police Chief Sekou Millington, made this video message introducing the app.  The text from the video is seen below.

Hello, this is your Police Chief, Sekou Millington. The Tracy Police Department recently partnered with Cordico, which is a trusted employee wellness and resiliency app, for our police personnel. Cordico has been vetted, and their advisory board includes Dr. Kevin Gilmartin, author of “Emotional Survival for Law Enforcement.” Cordico is the leader in public safety wellness. The origin of the word Cordico stems from two words, cordis, which means from the heart, and cortico, which means human thought. Combining the two words brings together the word Cordico. Our sworn and professional staff are our greatest asset. And often, we’re so focused on the safety and well-being of others we neglect our own health. Wellness, stress management, and self care is key as we navigate through a high stress profession. I’ve looked through the app and it’s very robust. Easy to navigate and 100% confidential. You’ll have access to resources, support and guidance on a variety of wellness topics. Some key features include 24/7 access, confidentiality, wellness tools for you and your spouse. This is truly a one-stop wellness toolbox. I encourage you to go to Google Play store or the App Store and locate our app, which is labeled Tracy Police Department. I also want to thank each and every one of you for your resiliency and your hard work. Take care and be safe.
